Ceramic tiles have been made in and around Delft since the 16th century. StoryTiles tells stories in miniature format on tiles, thus picking up on this tradition. In the Netherlands, all tiles are traditionally fired at a high temperature. This makes the small works of art heat and water resistant – the special design will last a lifetime. Each design is hand-burned and is therefore unique. The tiles come with a hanging system and are available in the following sizes: Small: 10 x 10 cm Medium: 13 x 13 cm * Large: 20 x 20 cm * The size “Medium” corresponds to the dimensions of the famous old Dutch white tile “Hollandse Witje”. This design was developed in collaboration with the Natural History Museum (London).
